The IFAS Entomology Nematology Building Renovation was a 75,000 square foot laboratory renovation that was performed in 19 construction phases in order to decrease laboratory down-time for the existing users. The project was financed by energy savings that were achieved by the project design. Andrew Mitchell designed all of the new laboratory HVAC systems and energy conservation measures. He served as project manager from the project beginning until completion. Project energy savings have been measured at 180% of expected savings. The project if pursuing LEED EBOM certification.
